All Case Studies Design Development Interviews Our Way Project Management

A CTO nostalgia. 2013 and a look back.

With a brand new 2014 at our doorways it's a good moment to stop for a few seconds and think back. Everytime I do that, I'm surprised how much has changed around here. It's my 6th year at netguru.

With a brand new 2014 at our doorways it's a good moment to stop for a few seconds and think back. Everytime I do that, I'm surprised how much has changed around here. It's my 6th year at netguru. During that time netguru went from 5 to 50 people and not much of the ideas we thought were important at the time remained. Just a few, very simple values and statements like 'team goes first', 'automate everything', 'don't branch' or 'it gets easier when you apply lolcats'.

Those values however got clearer and stronger overtime - and are now a core foundation of our culture, maintained by our senior team and other people that were/are involved in making us what we are today.

Thank you guys.

Lesson learned during last 6 years? - take a look back once in a while. You will find that issues you once thought are important, are now petty and insignificant, or even funny. You can now say: "What was I thinking?" and laugh back at yourself then, so engaged with those little things.

It's that cycle of laughs every now and then that reminds you those few things that really do matter.
