Imagine it’s Friday. Imagine the Work is Done, the Sun is Shining and you feel just Goood.
Imagine instead of coming back home to your girlfriend/cat/favorite game They take you straight from the office to the Bus. Your bus driver is smiling at you behind the black glasses and the smile reveals a golden tooth. Or at least you think you’ve seen one. You are not the one, frankly speaking, you discover that the bus is already filled with your coworkers. Some of them you haven’t even had a chance to meet in person yet, as they form a remote team, and they work from Warsaw. Or Dublin. All of a sudden somebody passes you a bottle containing a magical liquid. You don’t want to drink it, but after a while you manage to fight the distaste and take a small sip. Slowly but surely you start to feel more relaxed, and happy. You are in the right place.
After a minute, or five, or an hour and a half, you find yourself in a cozy room of a nice hotel. No other houses around, no city traffic, no rush, No Wi-Fi! You like it!
The dinner is waiting for You already. Jolly Good! So you eat, and you talk, and you eat, and you talk, some even start to sing… For a moment you think you’ve heard Lana del Ray’s voice behind your ear but you’re far too shy to check it. Besides you notice Chuck Norris is staring at you… You’re not sure if it’s really Chuck Norris, or maybe Steven Seagull? He’s tall and slim and as you don’t want to mess around with him you just take another bottle of the magical liquid he provides you with. He’ll be with you till the end of the trip. Always checking for your safety or if you need anything. Always polite and friendly. Your heart melts.
After the dawn you sit by the camp fire. Looking directly to the flames, you start thinking about your future, and you talk with your friends. You just have loads of fun. Again, you have a feeling that you hear Lana del Ray.. This time you’re turning around but instead of Her you see girls from work. Smiling. Strange.
The next day They take you from your bed to the other bus and the other bus driver says ‘Hey, we need your Help. You see – there is this secret mission that needs to be accomplished and we need people with your skills’. So he takes you and your team to the middle of the forest. And They give you uniforms, and guns and ask you to save the Princess from The Castle. Or was it another story? This way or another, you form a tight team with your friends and you put your precious live at risk. You fight, you get wounded, but you don’t give up! Oh no! You win! Rainbow colored bruises will remind you of your victory for a few weeks;) During the match you discover that while some of your fellows turned out to be great snipers, others are just superb Targets. Well, what a perfect match! And when the great battle is over, you just need to win some more rounds with strange creatures from the forest.
You come back to the hotel tired by happy. You’ve found brothers and sisters in arms. The feast is waiting and Chuck have prepared some local music heroes to join your meal. Your hearts melts again. So you’re eating, and you’re talking, some are even dancing!
Imagine you wake up the next day. Imagine the Sun is Shining and the Trip is coming to an end and you just can’t wait for the next adventure.
Imagine it’s not all an April’s Fool Prank!
How are you doing? ;)
